|---Module:text|Size:Small---| From June 17 to 19, Celfocus joined DTW Ignite 2026 in Copenhagen with its strongest presence to date, bringing together clients and industry leaders to discuss how telecom operators can turn AI ambition into tangible business value.
Across conference sessions, panel discussions, Catalyst initiatives, and exclusive customer moments, Celfocus showcased how data, AI, and composable digital architectures are helping operators simplify complexity, accelerate execution, and move from isolated use cases to scalable transformation.
One of the highlights was the session “Automation to Autonomy: Turning autonomous use cases into a strategic capability”, presented by Mario Volonterio, Head of Digital Networks and Artificial Intelligence at Fastweb+Vodafone, and Carla Penedo, Executive Director of Cognitive Automation at Celfocus. The session explored how telecom operators can evolve from individual automation initiatives to a more strategic and scalable autonomy journey, supported by the right data foundations, operating model, and AI capabilities.

Celfocus also took part in the panel “Designing the hybrid network of the future”, where João Miguel Antunes, Head of Autonomous Networks Offer at Celfocus, joined industry leaders to discuss the role of hybrid terrestrial-space networks, autonomy, and AI in shaping the next generation of connectivity.
Another key moment of the event was the joint session with Vodafone Portugal, “From 30 Minutes to just a few: How Vodafone simplified complex customer journeys at scale”, presented by Ricardo Baptista, Head of IT Architecture at Vodafone Portugal, and Luís Coelho, Vodafone Account Director at Celfocus. Hosted in the DTW Loft, the session explored how Vodafone Portugal and Celfocus transformed fragmented customer journeys into a simpler, faster, and more consistent digital experience through the OneX programme. By leveraging a cloud-native, composable architecture, the initiative reduced execution time for complex journeys from more than 30 minutes to just a few, improving productivity, agility, and conversion.
|---Module:text|Size:Small---| Beyond the conference agenda, DTW Ignite 2026 also created space for more focused conversations with customers and prospects around the future of telecom transformation.
Following the Vodafone Portugal session, Celfocus hosted an executive lunch to continue the discussion around the OneX journey and the role of composable architectures in simplifying complex customer processes. We also welcomed cleints and prospects to an executive breakfast dedicated to hybrid terrestrial and satellite networks, exploring how AI and automation can support unified operations and unlock new business opportunities in an increasingly connected ecosystem.
Celfocus also hosted a wine tasting experience with clients and prospects, a more informal setting to strengthen relationships, exchange perspectives, and continue conversations around the challenges and opportunities shaping the telecom industry.
|---Module:text|Size:Small---| Celfocus’s presence at DTW Ignite 2026 also included participation in several TM Forum Catalyst initiatives. One of these projects, HINT, was recognised at the TM Forum Catalyst Awards 2026, where Celfocus received the Best Moonshot Catalyst – Composable IT & Ecosystem Challenge award. Know more here.
Our presence at DTW Ignite 2026 reflects Celfocus’s continued focus on helping organisations operationalise AI in ways that are practical, scalable, and business-driven. From autonomous network operations to composable customer experience transformation, the conversations in Copenhagen reinforced a clear industry direction: the future belongs to organisations that can turn intelligence into action, faster, more confidently, and at scale.
