Convento do Beato played host to this year’s edition of Google Cloud Day Lisbon, Google’s largest tech event in Portugal. The day brought together Google Cloud experts, partners, and industry leaders for a packed agenda of innovation and collaboration.
Representing Celfocus, André Vieira, Cognitive Automation Pre-Sales Senior Manager, joined Julia Hernández, AI Specialist at Google Cloud, to present: “The Connected Agent: Mastering ADK for Advanced A2A Collaboration".
The session explored how AI Agents, driven by Generative AI, are evolving from simple task automators into intelligent collaborators that reason, plan, and act based on intent – not scripts. These agents are capable of using memory, tools, APIs, and models in a dynamic loop of learning and execution.
André and Julia introduced the Agent Development Kit (ADK), a framework that enables the creation of multi-agent ecosystems, where agents can:

One of the highlights was the unveiling of the Agent-to-Agent (A2A) protocol, a new open standard designed to address challenges in collaborative AI systems. Where traditional RPA and API-based agents operate in silos, A2A enables:
Together with the Model Context Protocol (MCP), which connects agents to tools and resources, the A2A standard introduces a new layer of intelligent interoperability.
The presence of Celfocus at Google Cloud Day Lisbon 2025 reaffirmed our commitment to helping organisations accelerate their AI transformation, as well as our ongoing efforts to bring Agentic AI into real-world business contexts – driving agility, intelligence, and autonomy in the digital enterprise.
