UK's leading and most trusted telecoms provider has partnered with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Celfocus to accelerate the development of a fully autonomous “Dark NOC”, marking a significant milestone in the evolution of network operations. By integrating AI/ML, Generative AI and Agentic AI, this top tier Telco is advancing its transition from traditional telecom operations to intelligent, software-driven automation.
Central to this transformation is the UK Telco’s GenAI-enabled AIOps approach, which enhances operational efficiency while strengthening network resilience and improving customer experience. The solution incorporates AWS’s agentic AI capabilities to enable intelligent monitoring, automated network management, and more accurate diagnostic capabilities.
These AI-driven agents proactively detect and resolve network issues, identify potential customer impacts, and act autonomously across the network, supporting the Telco’s strategic objective of achieving zero-touch operations.
Celfocus has been instrumental in shaping and delivering this vision. Working alongside AWS and this top tier Telco, the team has brought L4 Autonomous Network concepts into real-world operation. The solution is already live in production, using Agentic AI, advanced analytics and targeted automation to address some of the most challenging aspects of network operations.
The joint effort between AWS, Celfocus and the UK Telco represents a decisive step towards realising the industry ambition of a fully autonomous Dark NOC. It reflects not only technological innovation, but also collective commitment, rigorous execution and a shared vision for the future of telecoms.
